Princess Plus or Premier: package calculator
Princess sells three ways to pay for the extras on a cruise: the Standard fare, Plus, and Premier. Which one is cheapest depends on how much you drink, whether you want Wi-Fi, and how often you'd eat at the specialty restaurants. Put in your own habits and the three reprice as you go.
I built the first version of this for a real 14-night Arctic Norway sailing. You can read the package section of that brief to see how it fed into their decision.
Prices checked 20 to 21 September 2026, from Princess's pre-cruise rates for Majestic Princess and typical 2026 menu prices. Prices vary by ship and change often, so every one of them can be edited under "Adjust the prices used".
Work it out for your own habits
Everything is per person. It opens on a light case: a week's sailing, a shared Wi-Fi plan, a glass of wine, a latte and a bottle of water a day, and one specialty dinner.

The $200 Premier excursion credit is what Princess gave on a 10 to 20 night sailing; shorter and longer sailings may differ, so check yours. The four casual meals in Plus were for that same 14-night sailing.
What each one includes
| Standard | Plus · $65 a day | Premier · $100 a day | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crew appreciation | pay $18 a day | included | included |
| Wi-Fi | $24.99 a day, one device | one device | four devices |
| Drinks | pay as you go | up to 15 a day, $15 cap each | unlimited, $20 cap each |
| Casual dining | about $18 each | 4 meals | unlimited |
| Specialty dining | about $65 each | not included | unlimited |
| Excursion credit | none | none | $200 on a 10 to 20 night sailing |
| Photos, reserved theater seats | no | no | yes |
Dining figures on the Standard fare include the service charge. Both guests in a cabin have to choose the same option for Plus or Premier; a solo traveler in a separate cabin chooses independently.
How it counts
Standard pays gratuities every day, the Wi-Fi chosen, and every drink and meal at menu price plus the service charge. It is also priced with each of Princess's two non-alcoholic drink packages added, and the Standard tile shows whichever of the three is cheapest, with the other two underneath. The Classic Soda package covers sodas, mocktails, smoothies and canned juices. The Zero Alcohol package covers those plus specialty coffees and teas, hot chocolate and bottled water. Both add the service charge, must be bought for the whole cruise, and can be bought by one person without the rest of the cabin.
Plus covers gratuities, one Wi-Fi device, drinks up to $15 each, bottled water and four casual meals; specialty dinners and photos are extra. Premier covers all of that plus drinks up to $20, unlimited casual and specialty dining and photos, and the excursion credit is taken off only if the box is ticked. The calculator assumes every drink you enter falls under the package's price cap and daily limit. Regular coffee, tea, tap water and juice at breakfast are free on every fare.
Drink prices are typical 2026 menu prices from Eat Sleep Cruise. Princess does not sell an unlimited photo package on its own, so the photo figure is a five-photo bundle. The mocktail price is an estimate. Princess's own page still quotes an 18% service charge while a March 2026 report says 20%, so that field is adjustable.
